-
Then name of my album is "PRATHA." Actually
I was planning to put
"Sangeetkar ko jeewan" which is in the track as
well, but my
company suggested me to change the name. "Pratha"
means a culture that we follow.
-
How do you describe your
album? What kind of
music/songs are in the
album?
-
It's a melody album. I have tried to give
best lyrics did compose by myself. All my
songs r not catchy, but if u listen to the album
few times then I think any body can understand
my music. I haven't tried to be different
but have been inspired by senior artists. My
album is a mix of sentimental, soft rock and
hard rock songs. I have also dedicated a
song called "Sangeetkar ko jeewan" to
legends like Gopal Yonzan, and Amar Gurung.
-
How do you try to be different?
-
I
never tried to be different, I have my own
style of singing like every artists.
However, I always say never try to copy other
just be yourself.

What has been the difficult part in being an artist?
-
Lots of struggle, sacrifice, and devotion.
I even had to sell my favorite motorbike and a
guitar in order to record my album.
-
Where did you record?
-
At
Opus, Accustica, and Melody. Songs were arranged by Dipesh
Singh and Sunil Bardewa.
-
What do you think of current music situation in
Nepal?
-
Its great..getting larger.
- How do you go
about the songs? Do you compose your songs?
-
Yes, I do, and I have back up band "Nakchyatra
Band" that helps me during concerts.
-
What is your message to new artists?
-
Never give up, keep on fate, and believe in
yourself no matter happens. Respect
seniors, and
be yourself.
-
What's your next project?
-
Soon we r going to make a music video, of "Yaad
haru." I m also in the process of recording a
second album featuring Nepsydaz, Nakchyatra Band
and other good bands.
- What's your view
on media coverage?
-
Media coverage
is very helpful, but it should also be fair and
should support new artists and respect their
talents.
-
any last words or any message to fans?
-
I
don't want to force someone into buying and
listening to my CD/Cassettes. Go with your
own heart. People have watched my video
and may have listened to my songs, and if I am
able to touch their heart then my message is to
show some respect towards Nepali music and
plzzzzzzz' don't pirate CDs. If you can't afford
a CD then you could get a cassette.
