Newly appointed US Ambassador to Nepal, Randy W. Berry presented his credentials to the President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari at the President’s residence, Sheetal Niwas on Thursday.

“It is official! Today I presented my credentials to President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari and begin my role as US Ambassador to Nepal,” Ambassador tweeted.  “So happy to return to Nepal and to continue to strengthen the US-Nepal partnership…as well as connect with you all here on Twitter!

Ambassador Berry previously served in Nepal as Deputy Chief of Mission for the U.S. Embassy from 2007-2009.  Besides serving in Nepal, Berry has served twice as United States Consul General/Principal Officer, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2012-2015) and Auckland, New Zealand (2009-2012).
