According to World Bank’s latest edition of Global Economic Prospects, Nepal is ranked third as the fastest-growing economies in 2017. Ethipoia is the fastest-growing economy while Uzbekistan is second. Nepal is ahead of India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh as the fastest-growing economies in 2017.
As stated on World Economic Forum website, Nepal has projected growth of 7.5%. According to the World Bank, “Nepal’s growth has rebounded strongly following a good monsoon, reconstruction efforts after the 2015 earthquake and normalization of trade with India.”
According to the World Bank, below are the top 10 fastest-growing economies in 2017 :-
- Ethiopia
- Uzbekistan
- Nepal
- India
- Tanzania
- Djibouti
- Laos
- Cambodia
- Myanmar
- Philippines
China is at 16th place with 6.5% expected growth.
