Yoga Camp was organized at 12,500 feet above sea level in Muktinath, Nepal to celebrate the International Yoga Day that falls on June 2s1t.
The Yoga camp was organized by the Embassy of India in Nepal where around 100 Yoga enthusiasts including monks, locals and tourists performed Yoga. Muktinath temple is considered sacred for both Hindu and Buddhists.
The idea behind the Intentional Yoga Day was proposed by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his speech at United Nation General Assembly in 2014. The United Nation General Assembly had unanimously declared 21st June as International Day for Yoga in 2015. Since then Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21st every year across the globe.
Narendra modi visited Muktinath Temple in May, 2018.
