Veteran Nepali comedian Madan Krishna Shrestha including 4 of his family members tested positive for COVID-19. He made the announcement on Facebook on Monday. It was also his Birthday.
He wrote ” Me, including my son, daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, all five have tested positive for Coronavirus!” He also wrote not to take the virus lightly. He also thanked for the birthday wishes.
Another veteran comedian Hari Bansha Acharya and his wife Ramila Acharya had also tested positive for Coronavirus last year.
Madan Krishna Shrestha is the latest high profile celebrities of Nepal to contract the virus.
As of this writing, according to Ministry of Health & Population,1227 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours with 255 recovery, and 8 deaths. Total number of cases has reached to 285,900 with 275,555 and 3091 deaths.
