As the world is battling the COVID-19 pandemic, the largest and brightest Supermoon of 2020 lit up the night sky on Tuesday. People all over the world were mesmerized by its illuminating beauty, giving them a good excuse to step out of their homes at least for few minutes to catch a glimpse of April’s full Pink Moon.

WHY IS IT CALLED THE PINK MOON?

April’s full Moon often corresponded with the early springtime blooms of a certain wildflower native to eastern North America: Phlox subulata—commonly called creeping phlox or moss phlox—which also went by the name “moss pink.”

April’s full moon is also a supermoon, was at its closest to Earth in its orbit, making it appear a little brighter and bigger than usual. (Space.com)

Here are some of the stunning photos of Supermoon captured in Nepal.

He took the photo of Lufthansa cargo plane passing through the Supermoon.  He writes ” . . . . . . – . .
