Three Indian nationals in Birgunj, Nepal have been reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, according to Ministry of Health and Population.

According to the ministry, result from throat swab culture of three individuals (Age – 37,55,44) tested positive in a lab in Hetauda.  The samples were sent for further testing in Kathmandu.  The lab in Kathmandu also confirmed the result.

 

Contact Tracing has also begun by reaching everyone who has been in close contact with the patients.  This will bring the total number COVID-19 cases to 12.
